In this new report, The Blogging Revolution: Government in the Age of Web 2.0, from the IBM Center for the Business of Government, Dr David Wyld, from Southeastern Louisiana University, examines the phenomenon of blogging in the age of Web 2.0.  Wyld describes a seachange in which the web has become a truly participatory media.  He finds that blogging is growing as a tool for promoting online engagement of citizens both online and offline.

While the examples and the data are totally US in focus, the report is a useful resource for public officials looking to understand the phenomenon and practicalities of blogging.
