New book: eGovernment of Tomorrow28 January, 2010

The Swedish Government agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova) has released a new book called eGovernment of Tomorrow, which outlines four scenarios of how eGovernment may develop to 2020. Their point of departure is the future of public participation and trust in government and society at large.
The book builds on earlier work from 2006 when Vinnova published “The Future of eGovernment – Scenarios 2016”. Since then, says the report, eGovernment strategies have changed and intensified, with ICT developments pushing governments to act faster on eGovernment initiatives. In addition, social media have entered the scene “on a grand scale” and greater personalisation and customisation is now possible.
The entire publication is available to download for free at the Vinnova website.
