In a novel attempt to highlight the life of Internet users behind the Great Firewall of China, Firefox has developed an add-on which allows users outside China to surf the web as if they were in China.
China Channel is "open source, free and easy to use", so that users can do a search via Google or a search engine and the page will render as if your IP address is inside China. For those wanting to understand the extent of censorship in China, then this tool allows your web browsing to have all the difficulties of locating information as in China. You can also use the tool to compare search results.
