The Knight Community Information Challenge

18 August, 2008
By Allison Orr

The US-based Knight Foundation will engage community foundations in a grant-making challenge to find creative uses of media and technology to help keep communities informed and their citizens engaged.

The initiative will make $20 million available over five years.  The challenge is open to all community foundations, who will be required to provide matching funds.  Interested foundations must provide a proposal of 200 words or less between June 30 and September 15 2008.  Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal by October 15 2008.
