According to an article in The Australian, the Federal Government will introduce a program to teach children to identify, and protect themselves against, online threats.  The program will also include information on understanding and recognising the legal consequences of sharing software, music and movies online.

The e-security modules will be aimed at children in years 3 and 9 and will complement other cyber-safety measures planned by the government.  The Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy is seeking proposals from organisations to design and develop the matereial.
