New Report: Guide to Online Participation (New Zealand government)10 October, 2007
|By Allison Orr|
The New Zealand government has released a new report on online participation which is a practical primer for engaging people online.
The guide is aimed at both new and experienced practitioners, providing a basic walkthrough of issues and risks associated with online participation and also offering ways to find creative and effective ways of engaging the public using information and communication technology, especially Web 2.0 technologies and social media.
The website describes the guide as the first step in developing theory and practice in this area and the authors welcome comments and ask people to share their ideas and experiences in order to refine and improve the guide’s contents.
