Using the Internet to locate missing children

YouTube has formed a partnership with the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) and the Find Madeleine Campaign to create a new channel, the YouTube Missing Children’s Channel, Don’t you Forget About Me.  It is exclusively for posting videos of missing children.

All case information and videos of missing children will be first submitted to ICMEC for review and verification before posting onto the channel.  Anyone with information on a missing child will be directed to contact the relevant law enforcement agency.

Every year hundreds of thousands of children go missing, many are taken to other countries, so the global reach of YouTube can provide a unique tool to publicise photos and other information of missing children.
