Rudd Launches Campaign Website

15 August, 2007
By Allison Orr

Opposition Leader Kevin Rudd has launched Kevin07, a website designed to keep voters informed and updated on his election campaign.  The website hopes to build on Mr Rudd’s success so far in the online world, with his MySpace and Facebook pages now having thousands of friends.

On the website you can participate in blogs, stay in touch with campaign activities and news through “Kmail”, donate, sign petitions, buy Kevin07 merchandise such as t-shirts and bumper stickers, download wallpaper for your computer or a signature for your email, and find information on enrolling to vote.  There are also links to issues that the ALP wants to highlight called “Hot Topics”, the first of which is interest rates, as well as job security, climate change and Iraq.

The site features videos from Mr Rudd and other ALP politicians, as well as encouraging people to send in their own videos on why they plan to vote Labor, which will be shown on the site.
