The National Audit Office in Britain has released a new report: Government on the Internet: progress in delivering information and services online. The report was produced by the London School of Economics Public Policy Group and the Oxford Internet Institute at Oxford University.
According to the report, the government has made progress in making a wide range of information available to the public via the Internet. However, it finds that the quality of the sites has not improved much since the last report in 2002. Many of the sites are text-heavy, difficult to understand and navigate. The report also finds that most government departments lack information about who is using their sites and how.
