This site is a clearing house for information about Australian eDemocracy.
It is a collaboration between a number of Australian organisations involved in using Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) to bring governments and citizens closer together with each other and includes:
Australian eDemocracy is edited by Allison Orr. Allison is a doctoral candidate at the University of New South Wales. Allison's previous career includes five years as Production Manager, ABC Radio Current Affairs, and the State Presidency of the New South Wales branch of Amnesty International. In 2003 she edited One World, Many Voices, published by the Global Human Rights Conference.
Information relevant to Australian eDemocracy will be regularly posted, including overseas intitiatives and developments. The site is run on the basis of a wiki with contributions being provided by sponsoring organisations. We distribute a weekly email, the eDemocracy Monitor, with links to updates to the system.
